Jon has now returned to the bay area and is excited to a have found such a great group of musicians to collaborate with.
Bob Sundstrom - Acoustic and Electric Guitars:
Bob has been in love with the guitar from his first lesson at the age of eight and embarked on stage in jazz early. Bob went on to study in the guitar program under Mike Christiansen, Director of the Utah State University and has since enjoyed teaching and playing on stage with various groups. Bob is now excited to express his love of jazz with his son Jon as part of King's Five!
Scott King - Acoustic Bass:
What else can we say? Scott showed up and decided to get serious about studying the bass, and here is the result, a mainstay of our rhythm section. Scott's straight ahead style and provides a solid platform for his band mates to express themselves in energetic and often explosive solos.
Charles "Chas" Benedict - Drums and Percussion
As a percussionist, Chas has been in numerous rock 'n roll, blues, jazz and swing bands both on the kit and hand percussion. His credits include the 1990s proto-Beatles tribute band 'Daytripper', and swing-blues combo 'The Allnighters' in San Diego, and more recently the grungy blues-rock of The Midnight Flyers in Merced.
