the 6th annual 7 mile house Adobo cookoff 2023
event is canceled this year
Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the cancellation of our upcoming Adobo Cookoff which we have been eagerly gearing up for.
In recent times, my family and I have been facing some unexpected health concerns that require our immediate attention and care. I assure you that we are all doing our best to navigate through these tough challenges, and while it is a difficult decision, it is crucial to prioritize our health and well-being at this time.
Although the event has been canceled this year we look forward to bringing it back again next year.
Your understanding means a lot to me and my staff. We appreciate your ongoing support during this challenging period through your thoughts, prayers, well-wishes and visits to 7 Mile House.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Vanessa Garcia and the 7 Mile Family
Join us at 7 Mile House’s 6th Annual Adobo Cook Off For A Cause 2024, 7 Mile’s biggest fundraiser of the year!
The Adobo Cook Off is an annual event at 7 Mile House which aims to raise funds for a non-profit community partner and showcase one of the most popular Filipino dishes: Adobo!
Each year, 7 Mile’s Adobo Cookoff gets bigger and more competitive with home cooks and professional chefs vying for bragging rights to be 7 Mile House’s Adobo Cookoff Champions crowned by YOU, the hungry voters, and special guest judges!
In our 2024 event, 100% of all funds raised will be donated to the Parangal Dance Company, a Filipino folk dance & music company based in San Francisco to give tribute to Philippine heritage, cuisine and culture!
how does it work?
Contestants showcase their Adobo dish and compete for two titles:
1) People’s Choice - chosen by ticket holders
2) Critic’s Choice - chosen by special guest judges
Ticket holders get one hour to try all competing Adobo recipes along with unlimited Jasmine rice and bottomless Red Horse beer (for those over 21) or refillable non-alcoholic drinks. They will also be given a ballot to vote for their favorite adobo recipe and give feedback. The votes are tallied the same day and the winner announced shortly thereafter.
The Adobo Cookoff winner will receive:
Gift Basket from 7 Mile House
$100 Gift Certificate from 7 Mile House
Opportunity to be a Guest Chef for one night at 7 Mile House
An Adobo Cook-off for a Cause 2024 Winner Plaque
Social media and and blog features via 7 Mile House
Bragging rights as Adobo Cookoff Champion
And most importantly, an opportunity to help a great cause!
