7 Mile Celebrates 165 Years with its Busiest Bday Party Ever!
We had an incredibly successful 165th birthday this year and feel so blessed that our community came out to support despite the heavy rains! We were crazy busy all day and night kicking off the day with a 7 Mile History Talk hosted by owner and author, Vanessa Garcia, with complimentary mimosas and coffee. We served $1.65 Jack Daniels shots, sold anniversary t-shirt (with a free 7 Mile mug), gave away 200 adobo bowls and launched our self-guided history tour and eBook on Kindle. Whew!
NBC Bay Area featured us in with an amazing piece on the evening news, highlighting our history, offerings and our beautiful 165 rice crispies bday cake while Joe Kukura’s SFist wrote an article about illegal activities by former 7 Mile House owners.
Our festivities actually kicked off one week prior when we hosted 12 influencers for an early dinner to showcase our food, drinks and history. The efforts paid off as their collab posts and reels were viewed by thousands and resulted us gaining 1,000 more Instagram followers with posts shared at least 1,000 times.
We look forward to continuing the celebration all year long as we focus on what has made us stand the test of time through earthquakes, the Great Depression, two world wars, a few pandemics and everything else in between: the community that lovingly supports us, our dedicated team and our relentless drive to thrive no matter the odds. We are grateful. We are blessed. We are on top of the world and are looking forward to 165 more years to come!
