At 7 Mile House, it took years of trial, error, and trust to create an adobo that resonated with everyone, while staying true to its roots. That journey led to the Adobo Cookoff for a Cause, a celebration of heritage, creativity, and community. Seven years and thousands of dollars raised later, it’s clear: this isn’t just about food. It’s about identity, belonging, and the stories we share around the table.

7 Mile House turns 165 years old on Saturday, February 4, 2023, giving away free Adobo bowls to go, launching its history e-book on Amazong Kindle and a self-guided QR code history tour. 7 Mile will also be serving $1.65 Jack Daniels whiskey all day in honor of the preferred spirit during the Gold Rush. Established in 1858, 7 Mile House is a family and dog-friendly restaurant and sports bar serving ‘San Francisco Bay Area Comfort Food’ (American, Italian, and Filipino) in both an outdoor patio and indoor dining space.
