7 Mile House Closes For The Winter To Come Back Strong In 2021!

Dear Friends of 7 Mile House,

As many of you now know, we have made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to close for one month from Dec. 21 to Jan. 19. The Christmas holiday thru the 2nd week of January have traditionally been the slowest weeks of the year for us but this season, it's just worse. Not only are we all busy shopping and being with family, but many, like us, are now unemployed and worried about contracting the virus, which seems to affect people closer and closer around us. Add to that, the ever-changing government restrictions we must adhere to at a moment's notice. These factors and more have caused an extreme slowdown in our business it became practical to turn off the lights and stop the bleeding. Although we still have rent, equipment leases, utilities and more to pay for, it would have been tougher to stay open during the most challenging time of the year combined with the relentless presence of this life-threatening COVID-19.

Nevertheless, there is hope. YOU have given us hope. When we announced this week that we needed your help, you all came to our rescue with smiles under your masks and love in your hearts, large orders of food, gift baskets and mugs -- some even ordered almost daily! -- and generous tips for our staff. You have not only guaranteed our survival for the winter but also made it possible for me and my staff to stay home, stay safe and weather this storm.

One cannot ask for anything more and we are so incredibly grateful to all of you as we have been strengthened by you, our people, so we can come back stronger than ever in 2021.
