October is Filipino American History Month

October has always been one of our favorite months, and it’s because we celebrate Filipino American History Month.

As a Filipina immigrant, owner Vanessa Garcia was one of the first few restaurants in the Bay Area to serve Filipino food. Now among their bestsellers and fan favorites, 7 Mile House’s own pork adobo and sisig have been continuing to delight patrons, Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike.

This year has brought a lot of challenges globally because of COVID19. We’re lucky to still be standing where we are, supported by our communities, families, friends and patrons. We usually have a full calendar of events—highlighting Filipino bands and musicians, partnering up with local Filipino organizations and food and drink specials.

But with the pandemic looming over us all, we’re doing our best to keep this tradition alive at 7 Mile House. Without events and musicians, we know it’s not that much of a party but we look forward to seeing those days in the future. For now, we offer you some of our favorite and exclusive Filipino food and drink specials, available only this month.

Happy Filipino American History Month and Maraming Salamat (thank you very much!)
