will live music be back at 7 Mile House?
Live music was always an integral part of 7 Mile House’s DNA. Since 2005, we hosted live music almost everyday and featured genres from jazz, R&B, classic rock, Latin, reggae and more.
We put a spotlight on amazing local performers such as the LP Band, The Al Molina Jazz Sextet, Vince Lateano’s Sunday Jazz Jam, Good Reasons, Rene Escovedo, the 5.0 Band and so many more. 7 Mile House was the premier place to see these talents packing the restaurant every weekend and seating numerous live music dinners on the weekdays.
When COVID-19 hit, 7 Mile House had no choice but to close during shelter-in-place and open without its biggest feature: local live music.
During the pandemic, we at 7 Mile House had to change our strategy to survive: build and they will come. And so we did, and they came.
With the help of our City of Brisbane, government loans, grants, community fundraisers and our customers who made sure they supported our small business, we were able to build beautiful outdoor spaces, conducive to safely gather from small to large private parties for both humans and their pups.
Today, we continue operating under this new, simple business strategy that has given us new life.
7 Mile has successfully pivoted and transformed from a live music-focused establishment into a flourishing family and dog-friendly restaurant and sports bar with spaces for intimate, private parties to buy-outs.
It is exciting to enter this new chapter in 7 Mile’s history. One must be open-minded about change in order to survive. The key factors in our survival are the meaningful relationships we have with our community and the ability to listen to what they need and want. And that’s exactly what we’ve done.
We hear you, our community: you want a safe comfortable space to gather with friends, family and your pets, offering good, comfort food and amazing, unique drinks served to you by happy people — and that’s exactly what we now bring to your table.
Thank you to all the musicians who have graced our stage during these unforgettable 15 years. You were instrumental in shaping one of the most popular live music venues in the Bay Area, where musicians were respected, honored and celebrated in a very small intimate space that made the audience feel like they were part of the performance. Here’s to the many years of dancing, guitar riffs, drum solos, horn blowing, and groove making. Thank you for taking us into the next chapter of 7 Mile House’s 165 years of history. And like many milestones before this one, this era shall never be forgotten.
