In Memory of Our Beloved Karrine Yee

Karrine Yee

Karrine Yee
Dec. 14, 1989 - May 28, 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we honor Karrine Yee, who was adored by many, a woman who touched us with her presence in her own unique way. A beautiful human being who was one of a kind.  A true original.

Karrine joined the 7 Mile family when she just turned 21 and was only 30 when she passed. We were blessed to have had 9 wonderful years with our Karrine. a woman who touched us with her presence in her own unique way. Although we were unable to celebrate her life as a community due to the pandemic, we vow to honor her with an incredible send-off she deserves once restrictions lift so please stay tuned.

As we reflect on own grief, Karrine's family has given us this beautiful tribute in her memory:

If you knew Karrine, then you knew she was above all an authentic person. The people she loved knew that she would always be there for her. She could be trusted to come through on any situation. Whether be a minor favor, or the drive to put together a continental sized adventure. Karrine had the means to get it done. No matter what your dream was, our sister was always there to support it. She was the best person to have on your side because she made it ok to fail. No matter how hard life hit you, Karrine was around with a joke and a hand to help you back up. Although our sister wasn't always timely, she would never let that take away from her dependability. Every adventure that has come our way in life, Karrine has helped along the way. Whether it be a car to loan, or the money to bus she never wanted to see those she loved held back from their goals. She lived by her own rules and always believed that some of life’s best adventures were worth the risk. Karrine could never let anything, or anyone stop her from living life her way, on her time. Nothing could stop her from doing things the way she wanted, and going through life however she pleased. And we can't ever imagine meeting another person that could do it for thirty years straight.

Karrine was so many things, to so many people. To a lot of you she might have been your favorite bartender or mechanic. To others she was a fishing buddy and travel companion. There’s also a lucky group of us who called her sis, and I’m not just talking about her siblings. Taking care of the people in her life came naturally to Karrine. For those she loved, Karrine would give you the shirt off her back if it made you happy. Our beautiful sister was the rock of our family. Karrine was the kind of person that made us feel brave. Her fearlessness inspired us all to live a little more adventurously. Her plans were always big, as she wanted to enjoy all the great things this world has to offer. She brought her siblings together and always made sure we knew how much she loved us. She took better care of us than you could imagine and wanted nothing more than for us to be happy. Her love was radiant.

The family would like to thank Karrine’s 7 Mile family, and close friends for supporting her throughout her life. We know you meant the world to her.
